Metaverse is fast approaching. This is mainly due to progress in the NFT area. Because they are now more than just JPGs for monkeys, pixels, or snippets of artwork. Blockchain pioneers long ago began connecting to the analog world via NFTs, thus laying the foundation for the Metaverse boom.

One of these leading companies is the Football Club. The German startup has managed to merge a football platform and the NFT market, bringing the world’s most famous football sport into the Metaverse.

The Football Club is the first football club in the world to combine avatars, digital collectibles and competitions. Football Club provides all football fans with the opportunity to create a personal character and add unique items to it. In addition, players can collect NFT jerseys, create teams, and pit them against each other. The digital football jerseys serve as entry tickets to fantasy football tournaments where you can win FUSD, the blockchain’s original stablecoin. In principle, everyone can choose any player from the first and second leagues, which makes the game more skill-based than competing games.

The Football Club thus provides the connection between analog fan communities, fantasy games and the technological innovations of Web 3.0. here. Visually, NFTs don’t have to hide from Cryptopunks, Cryptokitties and Co. also. T-shirts, players and accessories are elaborately designed, which increases the collecting factor and, above all, the appeal of digital T-shirts. If you are lucky enough to snap up one of the rare digital collectibles, you also have a chance to sell it profitably in the market.

Customizable avatars give players the opportunity to bring their character into the game and modify it as they wish. The unique lifestyle elements in NFT also upgrade the latter and make a significant contribution to taking the fun of the game to a new level.

Anyone who participates in a football club manages their team and allows them to compete in one of the many challenges. Not only can you win FUSD but you can also win XP and let your digital striker make sure that you play at the top of the table. There are enough options for players: Metaverse currently has more than 1,000 licensed players.

Cooperation with Eintracht Frankfurt brings new shirts to the blockchain

It was only on 15 March that the football club announced its collaboration with Eintracht Frankfurt.

Behind the football club’s push is nothing less than the goal of building a sustainable digital ecosystem for the fan community.

CEO Ante Cristo (former Kickbase founder) puts it in a nutshell:

We firmly believe in the revolutionary blockchain-based NFT technology that will dramatically change the way we consume and use virtual goods in the future. That is why we will make the most of it by creating useful and value-added applications.

Ante Cristo, CEO of the Football Club

The first step in this direction is Eintracht Frankfurt’s NFT shirts, which were created in collaboration.

These come in three different versions, each with different characteristics. The designs are the home kit, the remote kit, and the third kit. All jerseys come in varying degrees of rarity:

  • Uncommon (900 per player)
  • rare (180 per player)
  • Super rare (60 per player)
  • Epic (30 per player)
  • Unique (3 per player)

First of all, of course, support the football club in the foreground. With NFT shirts, this can now also be viewed in the digital realm. This way, the feelings you have towards your team and the support you have for your team are visible to everyone and stored on the blockchain at all times. But the football club does not leave it at that. Because the selected jerseys also have a use in the analog world.

If you’re lucky and get the right jersey, you can use your NFT as an entry ticket to the stadium or VIP lounge. Because there is a place where everything meets again: on the field.

Play2Live: Enter the $15,000 prize pool with jerseys

The football club has also created something useful within the game. Each rarity group will have its own league. Anyone who has one of the jerseys also enters the respective league.

Each league has one competition per week where you can win cash in the form of FUSD duffel bags and canvas jerseys. These, in turn, contain new shirts, which are necessary for participation in subsequent competitions. Because the entrance fee increases over time, so later you will need several T-shirts to participate in the challenge. But it is not absolutely necessary to spend money to participate. Basically, the football club is Free2Play.

The football club created a prize pool of 15,000 Swiss francs for all the leagues to be divided. So members of each league can win 3,000 FUSD. The distribution of 3,000 FUSD looks like this:

  • Unique: the first 5 places
  • Epic: the first 20 places
  • Super Rare: First 30 Places
  • Rare: first 50 places
  • Uncommon: first 100 places

In the future, the football club is also planning to make more use of each jersey. In the future, you can improve the performance of individual players by wearing the right shirts for them. The following applies: the higher the rarity, the better the performance.

So if you want to secure one of the T-shirts, hurry up, because stock is limited. The jerseys are sold in packs at CHF 29.99. However, all players will be able to purchase a maximum of 20 packs per session. There are 5,000 packages in total, of which 4,500 go directly to football fans.

The community is sharing information about all upcoming events on Football Club’s Discord server.

Nosy? Then let’s go for the first kick. The Eintracht Frankfurt shirts have been available in limited quantities since March 24th. Just click here and secure your digital shirt.
