Animals – Taufkirchen – Horses on the highway: the police help in the arrest – Bavaria

Taufkirchen (dpa) – Real horsepower on the Autobahn: Two free-roaming animals over the Autobahn 8 Munich-Salzburg early Thursday morning. Officials said that road users alerted police around 6:40 a.m. Several patrols broke down – the horses were now on the road to Sauerlach.

Since the two animals did not stop and sometimes ran through the woods, a helicopter and a cavalry squadron of the Munich Police Headquarters were called in to provide support. Finally, the two brown animals were stopped near the gravel works. The cavalry squadron’s assistants were able to calm them down so they could be returned to their owners. The horses escaped from a farm near Taufkirchen near Munich.
