New podcastAn episode on children in the pandemic

A special episode of NDR Info’s coronavirus update today is about the psychological and physiological consequences of the pandemic on children and youth. How advanced is research in this field? What is known about Post Covid and Long Covid in teenagers? How can protection from infection be combined with education and the psychological needs of children in the best possible way? Corina Hennig, science editor at NDR Info, spoke about these and other questions with Ulrike Ravens-Sieberer of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic at University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf and Daniel Welser of the Clinic for Pediatric and Youth Medicine at Jena University Hospital. RKI reports 86,252 new infections – infection drops to 437.6

The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) reported 86,252 new infections nationwide in 24 hours (previous day: 2,305, previous week: 107,568). The seven-day nationwide infection rate continues to fall to 437.6 from 439.2 the day before (previous week: 522.7). Schleswig-Holstein: Infection rate has decreased

The seven-day incidence rate in Schleswig-Holstein decreased compared to the previous week – from 763.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants to 615.7. However, given the low number of tests, among other things, it must be assumed that not all cases of corona will be officially registered. The number of new infections recorded within 24 hours was 4,888, a week ago was 5,432. There were 311 Covid patients in hospitals (previous week: 370). Twenty-seven of them were treated in the intensive care unit and 13 were ventilated.
