Emmerich: In the holiday program, children can fly gliders

The Brink’s Youth Café has a lavish holiday program on its feet. Kids can look forward to these exciting excursions and special workshops.

The Municipal Youth Café Brink (Juca) in Emmerich has once again created a diverse holiday program with exciting excursions as well as games, socialization and creativity in Emmerich. Registrations are accepted for dates July 4 to August 5 with immediate effect.

Juca begins on Monday, July 4, with a shopping trip to Westfield Mall in Oberhausen (formerly Centro). The meeting point is Emmerich train station at 9.45 am. The prerequisite for participation is either the possession of a chocolate ticket or a five euro deposit. “In any case, those involved should be enjoying the shopping,” Juca Director Susana Cavara wrote.

Mayhem begins on July 5th

Stays domestic on Tuesday, July 5th. The team meets with children at Emmerich Rheinpark from 12 noon to 5 pm for the well-known game of mayhem. The cost is one euro.

It will also be exciting on Wednesday, 6 July, when children and young adults will get the chance to experience the Appenhall Monkey Zoo in Apeldoorn, Netherlands, for a total of €20. The special thing about this zoo is that the monkeys roam free sometimes. The bus ride starts from the youth café, where registrants meet at 9 am. Children under the age of 10 can only participate if accompanied by an adult.

A trip to Walibi amusement park

On Thursday, July 7, it runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the Juca Dinner, where, as in the Youth Café’s previous holiday programs, an impressive three-course menu is served. This item in the program is already fully booked.

The first week ends on Friday 8 July with a trip to the Dutch theme park Walibi. It starts at 8.30am on Juca. Costs 30 euros. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

The following week begins mathematically with a trip to Paulding Hall in Cliffe. For 14 euros, kids can start with Team Juca on Monday 11 July at 11.45 am and show off their climbing skills. Departure in Jukka.

Heading to Toverland on July 13

On Tuesday, July 12, it will be humid because Embricana will be visited. It costs three euros, the meeting point is at 11 am in front of the Empericana.

On Thursday, July 13th, a trip to Toverland, the Netherlands, will begin. At 8.45 am, participants gather in the youth café and spend the day among roller coasters and roundabouts for 25 euros. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult.

There’s also something for artistic minds this year. Because on Thursday, July 14, Juca offers an innovative three-hour craft program for €1. Start at 2 pm.

The weekend will then kick off with a relaxing BBQ on the afternoon of Friday 15th July, from 2pm to 7pm. Juca charges 2 euros for sausages and the like.

Paragliding with Emmerich Aero Club

Thus, the highlight of the summer vacation program continues. Because this year, young Juca from the age of 13 were able to participate in paragliding for 30 euros by collaborating with Emmerich Aero Club. The show runs from July 18 to July 22 every day from 10am to 6pm. Meals are provided.

A free hip-hop workshop, organized by Kultur Rucksack NRW for children and youth aged 10-14, is also an element of this year’s programme. This takes a period of three days. On Wednesdays and Thursdays August 3 and 4, the dance begins at 3:30 p.m. Friday August 5, already 3 pm. The choreography can then be presented at the Back2School party, which serves as the culmination of the holiday program from 5 pm to 9 pm. Entry costs one euro.
