Austrian Post cooperates with Tokapi

Previous generations of cryptocurrency stampers have mostly focused on selling physical stamps accompanied by their digital twin.

Crypto Stamp Art (CSA) is scheduled to launch on July 22, 2022, following the release of the associated physical commemorative block on July 1. Collectors can purchase 2500 CSA Mystery Chests exclusively at tokapi.com.

Each digital mystery box contains four non-fungible tokens (NFTs), a special stamp block and a physical trading card, which is called a special art stamp. Each NFT has color values that are distributed at different frequencies with increasing rarity.

The levels of rarity are as follows:

Red: 100 copies | 1% rarity.
Yellow: 1000 copies | 10% rarity.
Blue: 3000 copies | 30% rarity.
Pink: 5896 copies | 58.96% rarity.
Purple / Green / Turquoise / Friedrich: One Edition each | The rarity is 0.01%.

It is important to know that only mystery chest buyers will receive an exclusive physical art stamp after purchase.

What makes cipher stamps so special?

This exclusive technical card is a very limited trading card that is equipped with various security features and an NFC chip. In addition, it can be broken in the middle. The right side shows an art print, while the left side can be used as a traditional postmark.

Bridging the gap between the traditional and digital world with classic stamps

CSA’s first issue is a recent reinterpretation of the Mercure 1851 newspaper stamps, which originally appeared in four color values. Unfortunately, there are very few copies of red mercury today, making it one of the rarest stamps in Europe and by far the most valuable stamps in Austria.

Joseph Anksman, engraver, designed the original stamps in the 19th century. Encode Graphics designed the new 2022 edition with Ari Pratama and PR1MAL CYPHER, a well-known Austrian digital artist and NFT expert. The new special stamp set with a face value of €3.70 was issued 150,000 times. It is available at all post offices on onlineshop.post.at.

In order to boost the acceptance of NFTs in Austria and around the world, Austrian Post is giving away the special stamp set free of charge to CSA mystery box buyers. In addition, each box contains four NFT collectibles and a limited-edition commemorative stamp.

CSA Mystery Boxes will be available from July 22 exclusively on Tokapi.com for €500 per box. However, you do not have to be a blockchain expert to participate in the promotion. Tokapi allows you to use a credit card or pay by instant transfer without the need to create a wallet.

Crypto Stamp Art is just the beginning

This issue marks the beginning of the newly developed Crypto Stamp Art project. It forms a digital collector with a physical counterpart, focusing on collecting digital artwork and collaborating with the greats of the NFT scene.

Austrian Post is based on new interpretations and has already managed to attract other internationally renowned artists who will implement future versions of Crypto Stamp Art.

Patricia Liebermann, Head of Stamp Department at Österreichische Post AG, supports the upcoming inaugural event:

A generational change occurred in the assembly. Young people use NFTs to make digital collectibles truly unique and valuable. This is the perfect opportunity for us to bridge the gap between physical and digital collecting with cryptographic stamp art that appeals to all generations.

Patricia Liebermann, Head of Stamps at Austrian Post

As Daniel Linikus, CEO of Tokapi, commented on the partnership with Austrian Post:

Blockchain is changing the world faster than the Internet and usually involves significant complexity. We remove these obstacles. NFTs should be a comprehensive technology that can be used by anyone, not limited to a select few with deep knowledge of the blockchain. At Tokapi, we offer collectors the easiest way to purchase digital assets, helping to form a new wave of collectors.

Daniel Linikos, CEO of Tokapi Corporation
