The Parliamentary Group Bamberg FW-BuB-FDP is committed to the children of Gaustadt

Enabling safe school attendance in Gaustadt

“A safe way to school is the foundation for a successful school day,” said Parliamentary Group Leader Martin Boehner (FDP), underlining the ongoing commitment of the FW-BuB-FDP Parliamentary Group in Bamberg County for years. “For years, I have been conducting mediation discussions between owners, parents and city management to enable our children to get to school safely, especially from the rocky site to primary school,” explains Gaustadt City Council Member Daniela Reinfelder (BuB).

Fortunately, many families with children have come to the area due to the new development at the former Megalith site. However, the road to school is dangerous in several places for elementary school children. That is why the parliamentary group is again urgently asking the administration to enable a safe road with residents and also to reduce the speed limit at Gaustadter Hauptstraße. A safe way to school can also reduce traffic directly in front of the primary school.

Since there are many new children in the area, the number of pupils in primary school is also increasing. In the next two school years, two new classes must be formed in total, and all-day care must be ensured for more children.

“During a field visit with the school management and responsible administrative staff, we got a very good view of the local conditions,” explains Martin Pöhner. Claudia John (FW), an elementary school teacher, adds: “When expanding, the excellent educational concept of the school must also be taken into account!” According to the request of the parliamentary group, the next step should be examined by experts for the extent to which the expansion of the roof and the empty Caretaker apartment can be carried out. “Children are our future! And that is exactly where we should not cut things short, not least in terms of the quality of care!”

Application: Re-enter 30 km/h at Gaustadter Hauptstrasse

Dear Mayor,

We hereby submit the following request:

Management is considering reintroducing Tempo 30 at Gaustadter Hauptstrasse.

Reason: Standards have changed dramatically since the court ordered the 30 km/h clearance of the Gaustadter Hauptstrasse. Traffic has increased, the number of bicycles has increased, the former plaintiff has died, and there are many more children in Gaustadt. The police traffic safety watch will welcome this as well as the school, kindergarten, Gaustadt Citizens’ Association and many other citizens. Therefore, we ask you to check the parts of the Gaustadter Hauptstraße, especially the part of the city entrance from Bischberg, the intersection with Breitäckerstraße, the area between primary and middle school, shopping centers and the exit of the ERBA bridge can become a 30 km / h area again.

There are no anticipated costs for the examination.

Thank you in advance for your efforts and the efforts of the city administration!

Application: Career expansion of Gaustadt Primary School

Dear Mayor,

We hereby submit the following request:

In close coordination with the school administration, the administration develops an expansion concept for the upper floor of the school. The reason: For the future-oriented operation of the Gaustadt Primary School, it is urgently necessary to create new rooms for additional classrooms as well as all-day care rooms. A solution in the form of a container is not suitable due to the lack of space outside. Therefore, the rooms on the top floor of the school (caretaker’s apartment and adjacent areas of the roof) should be inspected as quickly as possible and the concept presented. As many families flock to the megalith and also to Gaustadt in general, the number of enrollments at the school has increased dramatically. Additional building areas may be added in the coming years. Therefore, quick action must be taken.

Covering the cost is not currently necessary because the work can be done in our property management.

Thank you in advance for your efforts and the efforts of the city administration!

Claudia John, FW Councilwoman
Daniela Reinfelder, BuB . City Council Member
Martin Bonner, FDP City Council
